Morgue Pick Up/Autopsies

Funeral Home Morgue Release Information

Mid Michigan ME Group refers cases to multiple morgues for autopsies or follow-up procedures.  Each Morgue is given the name of the family selected funeral home if that information is available to us at the time of release.  Each Morgue sets up their own schedule and does not update MMMEG of the scheduled case date and time for the procedure.  However, each morgue will contact the funeral home listed in the case file as soon as they have completed their procedure.  Funeral Homes may utilize the information here to coordinate pickup.

Morgue Information for Families

We appreciate the ability to care for your loved one with the utmost respect. The final process in the care of your loved one can be quite  confusing and complex. Please know that your funeral home is an expert in this process and is there to help you navigate through each step. Morgues locations are important for the funeral home but not necessarily the family. Please refer to your chosen funeral home for details.
